Anastrozole (Anastronat) – effective for the treatment of breast cancer

Anastrozole (Anastronat; Arimidex, Tamoxifen) is a non-steroidal aromatase-inhibiting drug. Anastrozole (Anastronat) is extremely effective for the treatment of breast cancer after surgery, as well as for metastasis in both pre and post-menopausal women. Anastrozole (Anastronat) works by inhibiting the synthesis of estrogen produced by the body. Moreover, it has been proven effective in the off-label reduction of estrogens in men thus, minimizing the chances of benign prostatic hyperplasia, gynecomastia, and hypogonadism in them.

Indication:

Anastrozole (Anastronat) is used as an adjuvant treatment (treatment following surgery with or without radiation) for breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Side effects:

Bone weakness has been associated with anastrozole.
