Lipitor  Description
Lipitor is used with diet changes (restriction of cholesterol and fat intake) to reduce the amount of cholesterol and certain fatty substances in your blood. Accumulation of cholesterol and fats along the walls of your arteries (a process known as atherosclerosis) decreases blood flow and, as a result of reduced oxygen supply to your heart, brain and other parts of your body. Lowering your blood level of cholesterol and fats may help prevent heart disease, angina (chest pain), strokes and heart attacks.

How to Use Lipitor
Lipitor has become a tablet to take by mouth. This is generally taken once daily with or without food. Advised to take Lipitor at about the same time each day. Your doctor may prescribe you a lower dose to start with and then gradually increase it. Do not stop taking Lipitor without your doctor’s approval, even if you feel well. You need to have low cholesterol and a diet low in fat while taking Lipitor.

Lipitor Missed Dose
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is – almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up missed.
